I agree that the panhandler asked you for something inappropriate, but I find your general attitude towards the poor to be quite callous. You start out by claiming that we hassle you. Well I’m sure some people do, but the majority (myself included) simply sit with our signs or play our music and say “thank you” when someone drops us a buck. I’m just asking that you be more respectful of those of us who are struggling more than you.

I have this with my skin condition too. I have had it 30 years. But no, I *haven’t* tried what ever weird, rigid diet, freaky supplement or non specific foreign cream which worked for your friends cousin’s girlfriend, I prefer to go with medical science…..

I have a friend who’s got chronic migraines of epic proportions. She can’t even function and the only drugs that have a semblance of effect are a prescription that costs her $80 for a pack of 4 pills. Yet people still tell her she should take advil liquigel or Tylenol extra strong………I have learned that there is nothing I could say that could make her feel better. I hope they find a miracle pill to help your problem soon

For years I have followed this case, and I have always carried a burning anger towards this judge for allowing this to happen. As a father myself it frightens me to know that this woman was a nominee to become a suprice court justice.
What she did to the Bagsbys, what she did to Zachary and what she did to David although dead was nothing less than murder. She has the blood of both father and son in her hands. When she ruled to release her she actually also said that the reason she know that Shirley Turner was not a threat was because the object of her anger, the person she wanted to hurt was already dead.
This so called judge in 8 years has never come foward and admitted her undeniable mistake. For respect to the people she failed mostly that little innocent child, in the same manner that it was so easy for her to release Shirley it should be just as easy to take responsibility for her mistake. Thank you for your innitiative to write this and should you decide to do anything further I would very much like to participate and support whatever you do.

I’m sorry for your experience. My kids go to a school with an extremely well organized parent and teacher supervised drop off (I’ve parent- supervised for a year), with multiple orange safety cones and “slow” signs, and 4th and 5th graders opening the doors, helping with backpacks and musical instruments, and whatnot. The students collect donations for charity (sister school) at Christmas and at the end of the year for their own party, they always say “good morning,”and they are very proud to have the responsibility. The school is very supportive and sends emails and letters describing the process to all parents – drivers are NEVER made to get out of their cars. I’m stunned by the rudeness of that paraeducator. And I hope you have a wonderful day!
